Malnutrition and food security challenges affects more than 35million Nigerians especially children and rural dwellers. 33% of children under the ages of 5 years are Vitamin A deficient which tends to affect their eyesight, growth and brain development and 1 in 5 of these children die from malnutrition related disease every day. 1 in 13 pregnant women die everyday due to malnutrition issue especially Vitamin A micronutrients.
We explore Pro-Vitamin A Cassava as a staple food to develop up to 15 different food products including casstard (the first cassava-based custard in Africa) which is one of our major selling products now and helps in providing children below 5 years and pregnant women with up to 60% of the daily vitamin A need. We create direct and indirect jobs to reduce poverty.
We operate an hybrid model of business as we undergo community services to rural areas and advocacy about malnutrition and eating healthy with 5% of our annual profit going into community development.
