Aion Sol is a rural asset financing company enabling agricultural cooperatives to access productive assets such as water infrastructure and clean energy solutions through flexible, harvest-aligned leasing. In Rwanda, over 70% of the population depends on agriculture, which contributes around 25–30% of GDP, yet the sector receives less than 10% of commercial lending. Despite having hundreds of structured cooperatives across major value chains, most farmers remain underfinanced and unable to invest in productive infrastructure.

Aion Sol addresses this gap by providing asset-based financing tailored to agricultural cash flows, allowing cooperatives to acquire essential infrastructure without upfront capital pressure. We have already worked with over 50 cooperatives and more than 2,000 farmers, achieving a repayment default rate below 5%, demonstrating strong discipline and viability of the model in rural contexts.
