Agriwaves TV A fresh look

Launched in September 2018, Agriwaves TV is a Web TV and mobile application that provides audio-visual coverage for agricultural projects/events, training videos and success story videos of young Africans engaged in agricultural entrepreneurship in Nigeria. Our website is www.agriwavestv.com .Its focus on youth in agricultural entrepreneurship came from an observation. Despite the fact that the economy of Nigeria depends on agriculture, and that 70% of the population in Nigeria is below 30 years, youth do not take agriculture as a career choice due to the negative perception that they have on the sector and attendant challenges they perceive. Hence, Agriwaves TV wants to bring forward stories of the young entrepreneurs who have succeeded in agribusiness, and training videos which could inspire other youths to consider agricultural entrepreneurship as a career option. This would not only create jobs, but also contribute to food security and lead to poverty reduction.
