AgriPredict Providing farmers with access to agricultrual information

AgriPredict’s mission is to provide farmers with timely and on-demand information that is delivered with accessibility in mind for all farmers. The lack of access to timely agricultural information for most farmers, especially the majority in the rural areas, has for a long time posed a threat to their yields, income, and lives.

Our solution is simple; using the AgriPredict application, a farmer can simply take a picture of the suspected diseased plant and the system will on-demand give a diagnosis, treatment options, and nearest agro dealer. Once a disease is detected in a District, that information is in turn made available on our USSD platform which enables those without a smartphone to be alerted of any risks in their area. In addition, we also provide weather forecast data on-demand on both the App and USSD platform. Challenges expressed by the farmers have helped frame the existing and future services provided.
