Université Cheikh Anta DIOP of Dakar

Constituted on April 18, 2009 and recognized as being of public utility by decree n°2010-03 of January 26, 2010, the Foundation of the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD Foundation) is a complementary financing tool in the reinforcement of the mission of UCAD’s public service and increasing its influence.

The UCAD Foundation is at the heart of UCAD’s new financing strategy. It must therefore make every effort to find the significant additional resources that the University needs in order to achieve its ambition of excellence.

Areas of intervention: 

The UCAD Foundation works to carry out projects of general interest in the following areas:

• Support for research and innovation;
• Scientific, cultural and sports activities;
• Sustainable Development and Citizenship;
• Support for the professional integration of students/entrepreneurship;
• Promotion of health, hygiene and social inclusion;
• Pacification and stabilization of the university space;
• Partnership.
