Startups and Investment Forum – Chad 2019

Under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic of Chad, His Excellency Idriss Deby Itno, the Startup and Investment Forum is a unique forum that brings together investors and venture capitalists from around the world to discover business opportunities and innovations in Chad.

“Startups and Investment Forum” – is a signature event of Global Entrepreneurship Week Chad, in collaboration with the Business Angels Week.

According to the Bank of Central African States (BEAC), from 2001-2010, Chad has been among 10 countries with the highest growth rates. Chad is also among the Sub-Saharan countries that have an economic growth rate of at least 7 percent from 2011-2013. With a promising success, GEN Chad is looking to build off the theme of “Africa: the continent of the prosperity and the future.

The Forum will take place in Chad’s capital city N’djamena on November 22nd and 23rd at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

The Startups and Investments Forum will feature a two-day program packed with events focusing on promoting awareness and networking, improving access to finance, and pushing for investment opportunities in Chadian startups. It aims to bring together players from across Chad and the world to invest in the country’s most innovative startup ventures. The angel investors, venture capital community, government representatives, and corporate partners in assistance will share best practices, lessons and roadmap for early-stage investment in the country

The Startups and Investments Forum will be composed of investment boot camps, conferences and roundtables showcasing the different business opportunities in Chad such as agriculture/livestock, renewable energy, fishing, tourism, fashion/style, and infrastructure. The Event will close with a high standing Fundraising Concert: The Entrepreneurs Night that intends to raise fund for twenty most innovative early-stage startups of Chad.
