We’re “Disrupting” The Personal Care Industry in Africa

A recent study forecasted that the global market for natural and organic personal care products will grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.6% from 2012 to 2018. At the heart of this growth is emerging markets – most especially Africa. Rising concerns for health safety, increasing consciousness and growing consumer awareness about the hazards in synthetic chemicals have fuelled the demand for organic personal care products worldwide. Africa cannot be left behind – and that is where we come in. :)

Natural Ever After – NEA – is the premier natural (organic) personal care guide for today’s progressive African sister whose timeless beauty starts from within. Founded in 2012, NEA is a vibrant healthy living (HEALTH), natural hair (HAIRITAGE) and organic skincare/cosmetics (HERITAGE) community educating, informing, sharing and connecting the conscious textured woman. By collaborating with industry experts, practitioners, thought leaders, experienced ‘influencers’, and brands around the world, NEA aims to inspire its readers with the confidence to understand the impact nutrition and personal care products have on their skin, hair, health and lifestyle.

Despite good growth prospects, experts deem that low consumer understanding of natural and organic personal care products, curbing pseudo-organic products competing with authentic products, multiple standards creating consumer confusion are some of the few factors dampening the demand for these products. The NEA blog therefore seeks to educate & enlighten women across Africa by delivering daily original content that promotes living in a consciously organic lifestyle which would mean acquiring the products necessary to do so.

We are looking for mentors to help us scale the business further by providing fundraising, distribution, marketing, R&D, retail & industry expertise that will add significant value and help us to grow and become the leading provider of these products in subsarahan Africa. That is where we intend to be.

Visit for a feeler. :)
