Mentorship request:
Scaling towards an Investment Company

Problem

1. Business Strategy:
Current: Currently co-investing in capital-injection investment opportunities.
Challenge: Focus on what areas of investments align with our company values and give good, stable returns at low-risk.
2. Operations setup:
Current: Operating as an investment committee, discussing problems and ideas as they come. Dividing the work among ourselves.
Challenge: What roles and responsibilities are required and how much is required to scale? What can we outsource?
3. Company structure:
Current steps: Registered as a PTY LTD.
Challenge: What legal structure works best for an investment company, especially as we scale and include more investment opportunities.
4. Fee Structure:
Current: Incurring bank charges and admin fee. We’d like to charge clients a management fee.
Challenge: What fees do we have to look out for and how do we charge clients?
5. Raising Capital:
Current: We are receiving contributions from members.
Challenge: Where to find co-investors.
