Fashion startup seeking mentorship advice in marketing and growth strategy
Nufaesah is a clothing brand that provides clean-cut workwear for urban Muslim women. We are currently struggling to find the right marketing strategy that will help us reach our monthly target in order to reflect growth. Our target customers are African Muslim women who have a career. Presently, 60% of our customers are between the ages of 25 to 35 while 30% are between the ages of 35 to 45 years old.
Furthermore, while most of our sales come from Instagram, migrating our customers from Instagram to our website is proving difficult. Our fear is, with conversions mainly taking place on Instagram, we are not in full control of the business and too dependent on Instagram.
With the recent outbreak of Covid 19, it has been near impossible to make a sale. At the moment, everyone is on lockdown and “workwear” is not perceived as an essential product, which has affected our sales.
We are looking for support from someone who has in-depth knowledge about the Fashion industry and how to scale a fashion company in the African market. This kind of support will channel our focus on effective marketing and business development actions. It will also broaden our view on other methods that we might not have thought of previously.
