I am a recent graduate of MIT, and have spent the past 3 years developing culturally sustainable technological solutions for developing countries. I began working on SOKO after 2 years designing and building a low-cost sanitation facility and local manufacturing solution for the informal settlements around Nairobi. With experience in systems design, social entrepreneurship, and a strong desire to improve women’s autonomy in a sustainable manner, I am one of the chief visionaries and designers of SOKO. As Founder I manage a team of technologists and local operators to ensure the sustainable growth and development of both the technology and social systems of SOKO.
To build a strong network of investors, entrepreneurs, and social technologists with a like-minded focus on the African continent.

I have experience as a social entrepreneur within emerging economies. I have developed 2 other successful start-ups within Kenya over the past 3 years, and understand the dependency of social and financial sustainability when building entirely new marketplaces, platforms and social systems within Africa.
