The Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) was founded on November 20, 1959 with the aim of creating a university specially dedicated to the teaching of engineering and sciences linked to the sea. In the ITBA the following degree courses are given: Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Engineering, Engineering in Petroleum, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering and the Bachelor of Management and Systems.
