The Pitch to Save the World series of competitions offers startup capital to the top three competition winners, for companies seeking to fulfill one or more of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For the Ghana edition, companies must be working to help accomplish an SDG related to mitigating the impacts of climate change. The current competition is taking place in Ghana, where Idea Foundry has joined with regional implementing partner, Challenges Group Ghana and other local engagement partners. In this competition, 1st place will take home GHS 50K, 2nd place GHS 30K, and 3rd place GHS 20K.
The application will be open through 1 June 2023.The top ten applicants will move to the next round, pitching at a live event, to be held at British Council’s Accra location, in front of investors and other ecosystem participants. The top ten applicants will be informed in early June 2023, and the live event will be held 6 July 2023.

In conjunction with each competition, office hours are held at least twice with both Idea Foundry and our local implementing partner. Additionally you can join us and other applicants at an information webinar to learn best practices for building an application, and have your questions answered in an open forum. If you are having issues with your application or signing up for office hours, please email pitch@ideafoundry.org – email about the viability of your application will have not response.
