Funding details

The fund is structured across three stages;

  • Early-stage ideas can receive up to $200,000 under Stage 1 to test and validate their concept.
  • Stage 2 supports scaling efforts with funding of up to $500,000, and in exceptional cases up to $750,000.
  • Stage 3 provides up to $1,500,000 for solutions that are ready for large-scale expansion.

Focus areas

The programme is open to innovations across multiple sectors, including health, agriculture, education, climate, and livelihoods. This flexibility allows a wide range of solutions addressing social and economic challenges to qualify.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Open to startups, non-profit organisations, researchers, and social enterprises
  • Applicants can be based anywhere globally but must focus on impact in developing countries
  • Must demonstrate a clear and innovative solution to a real-world problem
  • Show strong potential for scale and widespread adoption
  • Provide evidence of cost-effectiveness compared to existing solutions
  • Demonstrate ability to measure and deliver meaningful impact

Geography

The fund is open globally, but supported projects must focus on improving lives in developing countries.
