About this Hackathon

“In 2018 , we want to celebrate gender and women differently and this is through innovative IOT solutions  in order to address differently gender issues in the DRC community”

Our Cisco academy invites you to a special celebration of gender and the technology divide through this Sensational Hack the gender session first of it kind.

This is a structured and innovation process that includes cover :

  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
  • Communication
  • Collaboration
  • Elaborating a Business model canvas
  • Pitching

How does it work?

“The event starts with a presentation describing the agenda and introducing the theme and the specific challenge of the Hackathon. Participants then brainstorm ideas and form teams, based on individual interests and complementary skills”.

A multidisciplinary team of 5 multidisciplinary persons hear story of speakers, discover the challenge to address and receive a bundle to electronics including sensors, micro-controllers, screw drivers etc. to develop and pitch their solutions before a multidisciplinary jury.

A maximum of 10 teams  will compete each other through a championship of a series of challenges. A team must be composed with a minimum of 20-30% of female participants to be eligible to this Hackthon.

We need you to come and join our efforts to make this session a great experience for igniting innovation, advancing technology and Technopreneurial solutions through dynamic the youth in the DRC.
