Bienvenue au Cameroon! Join our Angel Investor Masterclass

ABAN is hosting a series of Angel Investor Masterclasses across the continent under the theme ‘Unlocking capital for early stage innovation.’ Cameroon is our next stop and you are most welcome to join me!

ABAN seeks to promote a culture of angel investing across the African continent, helping to connect game-changing entrepreneurs with mentor capital. Also this year, ABAN is hosting a series of Angel Investor Masterclasses across the continent. The theme for the series is ‘unlocking capital for early stage innovation’, focusing on facilitating interactions between angel investors, high-potential entrepreneurs and other relevant stakeholders in the ecosystem.

Following successful events in Washington, Silicon Valley, Johannesburg, Nairobi and Hargeisa in recent months, our next stop is Douala, Cameroon! Here, in partnership with the Cameroon Angels Network, we will be looking at how to catalyze investments, mobilize local capital and spur innovation & entrepreneurship.

We are delighted to welcome back Candace Johnson, investor extraordinaire and president of EBAN, and Ndidi Nnoli-Edozienas, the head of Rising Tide Africa and a member of the Lagos Angels Network. These experienced investors will join me in hosting this masterclass.

An event like this in Cameroon is critical for raising the profile of angel investing in the country. These networks play an important role in unlocking capital for early stage innovation, and to engage critical stakeholders. We are able to organize this series with the support of the US State Department and the LIONS Africa partnership, and have already organized sessions across the continent as well as overseas.

Free on 07-08 October? Join us in Douala! Find more details & other key events via our ABAN partner page on VC4Africa.

The annual meeting is hosted by the African Business Angel Network (ABAN), Lagos Angels Network (LAN) and VC4Africa, and also welcoming special guests She Leads Africa and Ingressive’s Tour of Tech.

ABAN is a pan African non-profit association founded to support the development of early stage investor networks across the continent, and to get many more (early stage) investors excited about the opportunities in Africa.
