Talking Bookz, selected for DEMO Africa 2015, secures seed funding from angel investors

Congatulations! Nigeria’s audio book retailer Talking Bookz announces new seed investments. Talking Bookz is one of the 30 entrepreneurs selected to launch at DEMO Africa 2015

Talking Bookz is a Lagos based startup co-founded by Kolapo Ogungbile and Aransiola  Damilola. As the first major publisher and online retailer of audio books in Nigeria, Talking Bookz provides access to unique African content and 3000+ international bestsellers. Its users can purchase and download audiobooks straight onto their devices.

Talking Bookz received an initial, undisclosed seed funding from Nicolas Waern, a Swedish Angel Investor with experience in IT management. He now serves as the CTO of Talking Bookz. Marek Zmyslowski, CEO of the Rocket Internet backed hotel-booking portal Jovago in Nigeria, has made a second undisclosed seed investment in Talking Bookz. Marek Zmyslowski also brings in his extensive experience of over 8 years in the cyber market place. He will contribute strategic enterprise blueprints to aid the company grow its revenue base.

Talking  Bookz was selected as part of the 30 African Startups that will pitch at DEMO Africa 2015 and recently selected as one of the most promising startups in Africa by the Tony Elumelu Foundation.
