Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest celebration of entrepreneurship. During one week each November, GEW inspires people around the world to explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

VC4Africa is the largest online platform connecting qualified investors from around the world with quality entrepreneurs building companies across Africa. The ventures on VC4Africa are early stage and require investments less than USD $1 million. Currently there are more than 800 company profiles published to the website, with more than 1500 ventures screened since launch, and over 40 promising businesses fundraising. VC4Africa helps the entrepreneurs prepare their documentation and has run bootcamps for entrepreneurs looking to raise capital for their venture.

Entrepreneurs who register their companies on the VC4Africa platform have access to free online tools, mentorship opportunities, private deal rooms, and exclusive networking opportunities with the VC4Africa Investor Network. Recently the VC4Africa Pro Account was launched, targeted at Africa focused Angel and VC investors offering them a premium service with access to top ventures all across Africa, including investor dashboards, custom alerts and support from a dedicated account representative.

VC4Africa has multiple partners, including a partnership network of over 20 innovation hubs all across Africa. VC4Africa is one of the partners of the yearly pan-African DEMO Africa event, where 40 top innovators from across Africa launch their new products in front of a global audience.

The informal “VC4Africa meetups” format has been used over the past years. The meetups serve as an additional networking venue where VC4Africa members and supporters meet face to face to share thoughts and ideas, and have been hosted in more than 50 cities around the world. However, November 21 is the first time so many meetups are organized on one day.
