AmChamChile

AmCham promotes free trade and business between Chile and the United States.

AmCham played a relevant role in supporting the negotiations for the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Chile and the United States. Through its association with the US Chamber and the American Association of Chambers of Commerce in Latin America (AACCLA), it served as a link between the private sector of both countries. Likewise, it supported the delivery of information to US congressmen regarding the advantages of the FTA for their nation’s trade.

Currently, the United States is one of Chile’s main trading partners. Total trade between the two countries grew by 294% in ten years, from US$6,564 million in 2003 to US$25,844 million in 2013.

This non-profit entity seeks to support and promote joint activities and collaborative relationships between Chile and California. Likewise, it supports the materialization of a series of agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation for the development of human capital, promoting innovation and collaboration in the areas of energy, environment, agriculture and education.
