ABAN is kicking off the 2016 series of Angel Investor Bootcamps – investor events organised to mobilise the early stage investing community and to grow a pan-African network of Angel investors. Audience for the events are new aspiring investors interested in learning about early stage investing as well as seasoned, experienced investors looking to share best practices and engage with peers.
On August 11, the African Business Angel Network (ABAN) is hosting an Angel Investor Masterclass in partnership with Viktoria Ventures and supported by the LIONS Africa Partnership and VC4Africa. The program will consist of a Masterclass by Brigitte Baumann, President Emeritus of the European Business Angel Network who will share her experience and journey as an Angel Investor. Brigitte runs GoBeyond Investing that enables investors to build, manage and exit diversified portfolios of direct investments in young, fast-growing companies. She was also recently awarded European Investor of the year! Dr. Jasper Grosskurth, Managing Director of Research Solutions Africa, and a board member of VC4Africa will also share the findings of the Venture Finance in Africa 2016 report highlighting the performance of early stage, high growth ventures and the activity of early stage investors in Africa. Finally, we’ll have a local panel of experts share and discuss their experiences of angel investing in Africa.
