Summit program

Wednesday – November 13

Series of investor masterclasses and workshops at Workshop 17 (17 Dock Rd, V & A Waterfront). A more informal day that builds on peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and best practice sharing among participants, with leading investors facilitating the masterclasses. There will be 2 knowledge tracks dedicated to angel investors (half day) and fund managers (full day) + the ABAN annual general meeting. Facilitators are a cross-section of international trainers and local investors. New this year are ‘Office Hours with LPs’. The objective is to help facilitate conversations between LPs and fund managers in board-room style rooms at our event space.

On Wednesday evening, speakers, key partners and guests will be invited for informal investor experiences to meet and connect in an intimate setting. This is your chance to discover the city like the locals do!

Thursday – November 14

Full day Summit at Workshop 17 (17 Dock Rd, V & A Waterfront), including networking breakfast. The day will be filled with relevant keynotes, fireside chats and roundtable conversations examining how to unlock the potential of early stage companies across the continent, while building value for investors and shareholders.

Following the success from the last two Summits, raising more than USD 20 million in venture capital funding, we are proud to present the VC4A Venture Showcase – SeriesA, featuring 12 investor-vetted scale-ups from across the continent looking to raise between $250K and $5M. The scale-ups will be invited to pitch on stage as well as to engage with interested investors in more intimate ‘deepdive’ breakout sessions.

On Thursday evening, we invite Summit attendees and the investment community from across the continent for the investor dinner at Nasdak Rooftop Venue (26th floor, Media24 Centre) hosted by our event partner Naspers. Where we will be celebrating our successes over the past year and to close the event. This provides another opportunity for our community to strengthen their networks, build new relationships and spend more time with entrepreneurs and co-investors.

Friday – November 15 (optional)

Cape Town Innovation Tour, organized together with our event partner UK SA Tech Hub, featuring insightful visits to key startup hubs, accelerator programs and scale-ups around the peninsula.
